Features

Built around the way a fridge actually fails.

Most fridge monitors fire on every door-opening and bury you in alerts. Doobles is built differently — we know the difference between "the fridge is broken" and "someone just got the milk out", and only bother you when it matters.

The kit

Two pieces. No new wires.

Small wireless sensors

Battery-powered sensors that stick inside your fridges and freezers, taking a temperature reading every few seconds.

We offer two styles: a standard sensor that runs for years on a pair of AAA batteries (the same ones you'd buy at any corner shop), and a compact sensor that's smaller and slimmer for tight spots — useful inside a packed bottle fridge or beverage display — and runs for several months on a coin-cell battery.

When a sensor's battery is getting low, you can grab replacements at any shop yourself — or let us ship them to you automatically when Doobles flags it.

A Doobles listener

One small box plugs into a normal mains socket near your fridges. It picks up every reading from your sensors and sends them to us over your existing Wi-Fi. Got a big kitchen? Plug in more than one — if one drops out, the others carry on.

Dashboard

A clean view of every fridge.

Everything on one screen

Every fridge and freezer at a glance, with the current temperature and a tiny chart of the last couple of hours. Anything that needs attention floats to the top automatically.

Drill into any fridge

Tap a fridge to see its temperature over the last hour, day, week, or month. You can also see its humidity, battery, and signal — handy if you're trying to spot a slow problem.

Works on your phone

Designed for staff who need to glance at it during the morning prep, not for someone sitting at a desk. Works on any phone, tablet, or computer.

Light and dark mode

Pick the look that suits your environment. Easier on the eyes in a dim cellar at 5am, and clear in a bright dining room at midday.

Smart alerts

Notifications only when it actually matters.

This is the thing that makes Doobles different. Brief warm-ups — door-opens, defrost cycles, someone restocking — don't generate alerts. Real failures do.

We wait before we cry wolf

We only send an alert when a fridge has clearly gone wrong — either it's a long way over temperature for at least half an hour, or it's been over temperature for an hour straight. Quick blips and door-opens don't trigger anything.

Each fridge can have its own rules

A walk-in chiller and a beverage display fridge behave very differently. You can tighten or loosen the alert rules for each one. Defaults work for most.

Email, SMS, WhatsApp, push

Each person on your team picks the channels that work for them. WhatsApp alerts even come with a small graph attached so you can see at a glance how bad it is.

Quiet hours

Tell us when you'd rather not be pinged for the smaller stuff. Genuine emergencies (a freezer dying at 3am) always come through — but routine alerts can wait until you're up.

Escalating alerts

If a fridge keeps getting warmer and warmer, Doobles knows it's not just a blip and steps the alert up. You won't miss a real equipment failure because the first alert got ignored.

One-tap response

Every alert message has a tap-through link — no login needed. Add a quick note ("I'm on it" or "called the engineer"), or silence the alerts on that fridge while you sort the problem. Done in seconds from your phone.

Sensor health

We watch the sensors, so you don't have to.

Battery warnings, weeks in advance

Doobles watches each sensor's battery day by day and works out when it's likely to need a fresh one. You get weeks of warning — so you can swap it on a quiet morning, not in a panic.

We notice when you change a battery

Pop a fresh battery in and Doobles spots it automatically. No "I've changed the battery" button to remember to press.

Wi-Fi signal at a glance

We show you how well each sensor is being heard — green, amber, or red. Spot a sensor on the edge of your Wi-Fi coverage before it stops reporting altogether.

"This fridge stopped reporting"

If a sensor goes quiet, we'll let you know. We're also smart enough to spot a full power cut at your site, so you don't get twenty separate alerts when the lights go out.

Compliance reports

A weekly PDF your EHO will love.

What's in it

  • Page 1 — A grid of temperatures for every fridge across the week, every six hours. Anything out of range is highlighted.
  • Page 2 — Your week at a glance: how long everything spent in range, how many alerts fired, and the longest problem. Plus a row per fridge with its highs, lows, and battery status.
  • Page 3 — Every alert from the week, with timestamps, how long each lasted, and any notes your team added.

When it lands

Every Sunday morning, automatically emailed to whoever on your team wants it. You can also generate one on demand for any date range — useful when an inspector asks for "the last 90 days".

The PDF is designed to be printed and dropped straight into your food safety file. Inspectors recognise the format.

For your team

Built for kitchens with more than one cook.

Add your whole team

Owners, managers, and front-of-house staff — add as many people as you like. Each chooses their own alert channels and quiet hours. No "shared logins" needed.

Your data, your business

What's on your dashboard belongs to your business and only your business. Nobody else can see it, and we don't share it with anyone.

Take a sensor out of service

Moving a fridge? Doing a deep-clean? Hide a sensor from your dashboard with one tap so it doesn't alert while it's out. Pop it back in later and it reappears automatically.

A clear record for inspections

Every alert — who saw it, when, and what they did about it — is logged for the record. Useful when you need to show due diligence after something's gone wrong.
